The Parish Hall is on Chapel Lane, opposite St. Michael's Church. With 50 car parking spaces, a large dance floor, licensed bars, stage facilities and a well equipped kitchen, it is just the place for your next event (large or small) with family or friends. The hire charges are very reasonable and include the use of the garden.
A number of community groups use the hall as their weekly venue; these include Karate, Sequence Dancing and Slimmers' World. Also, other local dance and drama groups use the hall and stage for putting on shows and concerts several times a year. The Parish Hall is run by a Management Committee, chaired by Albert Scott (who is also the Designated Premises Supervisor for the purposes of the License). The Licensee (on behalf of the Liverpool Diocese) is Veronica Hancock; and the Hall Manager is Beryl Dawson. A team of volunteers help to get the hall ready for functions by decorating the room/s and making them look really special and during any year we will host weddings, christenings, big-birthday parties, anniversaries and even the odd teddy bears' picnic for up to 130 guests.
For smaller, more intimate gatherings, we are able to hire out the Lounge Bar. This quiet, comfortable area takes about 50 people, has its own bar, toilets and direct access to the garden.
You may enjoy a quiet drink in the comfortable surroundings of St. Michael's Lounge on any evening, Tuesday - Sunday between 9pm and Midnight; and on Sunday afternoon between 12 and 3pm. Membership costs £1 per year. On Sunday evening Joe McGrath plays easy listening music for your pleasure; anything from light classics, to jazz, film themes and much more, all in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
We pride ourselves on giving value for money and excellent service. To find out more about availability and hire charges for your next function please call Beryl on 01925 224754. We look forward to hearing from you.
