Arranging a Baptism at St. Michael's

Baptisms (also called ‘Christenings’) at St. Michael's.

If you live in St. Michael's parish (the village of Burtonwood), and wish to think about having a Baptism for your child, please call in to the Church Office (in the Parish Hall) on any Sunday and Thursday between 11am and 11.30am to book the date and collect some forms. Your child’s details will be noted down and you will be given a choice of available dates. Baptisms are held on the first Sunday of the month at 10am and the size of the church limits us to two babies/ families per Service.

You will then be expected to meet with the Vicar at a time convenient to you to allow for preparation to take place. At this time, the Vicar will go through the service with you, so that on the day you will know what you are doing. At St. Michael's we take Baptism very seriously and we as a church family want to extend to you the warmest of welcomes and we wish to give you the best possible service in every meaning of that word.

Your reception or party in St. Michael's Parish Hall.
The Parish Hall is available for hire at very competitive rates.  There is a large hall with car parking and a bar (available on request).  The fees are very reasonable for the use of the hall and for extras such as the kitchen and cookers.  There is also a garden area which can be reserved at a small extra cost.  Further details are available on the Parish Hall page of this website.
