Weddings at St. Michael's

If you are thinking of booking your Wedding Service at St. Michael's, then either you or your partner must live in St. Michael's parish (the village of Burtonwwod).  If you live elsewhere it might still be possible to be married at St. Michael's, but you would need to come to discuss this with the Vicar as there would be a requirement for you to have been a regular worshiper at St. Michael's for at least six months before the wedding.  Various types of license may need to be applied for if you do not live in the parish or if you or your partner are a foreign national. Similarly if either of you have already been married, you will need to let us know as soon as possible as this might have a bearing as to whether or not you will be able to be married at St. Michael’s. Weddings can be booked at the church office (in the Parish Hall) on a Sunday or Thursday between 11am and 11.30am (no prior appointment is necessary).

The Church of England website has lots of very useful information in relation to planning your wedding and the type of Service you can expect or request; there are also suggestions for music and readings stc.  The website address is http://www.mrsite.co.uk/www.cofe.anglican.org/lifeevents/weddings
